Top Spring Trends From Fashion Week
With spring in full swing, there’s no better time to round up all the best trends that will carry us into a summer full of style. The runways of the spring/summer 2018 fashion shows were filled with stunning looks that will be a source of inspiration to fashionistas in the months to come. Here’s a look at some of the best spring trends, straight from the catwalks of fashion week.
The plastic trend dominated both the streets and the runways this year at fashion week. From Chanel, Burberry, Topshop and Calvin Klein, plastic accessories came in all shapes and colors. Leaving a little less to the imagination can be a fun way to add a touch of playfulness and youth to an outfit. Bags are my personal favorite way to incorporate the plastic trend into a look, because it can allow you to get creative (and organized) with what you keep in your purse.
Fringe is one trend that designers never seem to get tired of. This familiar trend made yet another comeback at the spring/summer ’18 shows with brands like Celine, Saint Laurent and Loewe embracing the power of movement in clothing. Skirts and dresses are the best way to take this trend and truly make a statement.
Finally, one trend that literally caught everyone’s eyes this season was bold color. Although this may seem like a simple trend, when you’re used to seeing neutral, monochromatic looks coming down the runway, a shocking yellow or blood red can be breath of fresh air in the fashion world. If there’s one lesson to take from this trend it’s that sometimes less isn’t more. It’s always fun to mix things up and go for a bold pop of color that will make you stand out and make a fashion statement.
While designer had many more trends to offer, only time will tell which ones last and which ones fade faster than fashion week flew by!
